After losing their first two matches under Unai Emery, Arsenal went on a lengthy unbeaten run in all competitions which saw them avoid defeat until a 3-2 loss at Southampton in mid-December.
In that run, they scored some superb team goals which included this fabulous finish from Aaron Ramsey in a 5-1 victory away at Fulham in October 2018. Ramsay had only just been introduced into the match by Emery but the Welshman made a big impact with just his second touch of the ball.
It was a sweeping move from Arsenal which began from inside their own half and involved Hector Bellerin, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. It was Aubameyang who produced the final killer ball before Ramsey provided the deftest of backheel flicks as the ball spun into the net.
It was cheeky, free-flowing and Arsenal at their absolute finest. Ramsey wouldn’t score many more though. The Welshman found out a few weeks later that he wouldn’t be receiving an improved contract and left at the end of the season. He is embarking on a new adventure in 2019-2020 in Serie A with Juventus.
