A day before Neil Warnock celebrated his 70th birthday; Junior Hoilett gave him the best birthday present with a sizzling strike to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 in November 2018.
Held on a Friday night at The Cardiff City Stadium, the game was delicately poised at 1-1 with the home side starting to boss proceedings. It looked like it was going to take something out of the ordinary though to break Wolves down and Hoilett provided it.
Hoilett was involved in the build-up and as Wolves struggled to clear their lines, the ball broke to him on the edge of the area. The Canadian used the pace already on the ball to guide a brilliant side-footed strike with enough bend and power to beat Rui Patricio with the ball going in off the underside of the crossbar.
It was the final day of the month and this late strike not only won all three points for Cardiff on the night, it saw Hoilett win the BBC Match of the Day Goal of the Month award for November.
